At Brownsdale Baptist Church, we believe God’s Word is meant to be read, understood, and lived out in community. That’s why our pastor has created a custom Bible in a Year reading plan designed to help you see the story of Scripture more clearly and cohesively.

Rather than reading straight through from Genesis to Revelation, this plan is thoughtfully arranged to highlight how the Bible occurred in chronological order. You’ll follow the flow of the early church, beginning in Acts and reading in the order in which the books occurred, helping you better understand the context and progression of God’s work. Then you’ll dive into the Old Testament in chronological order as well, from the creation of the world to the words of the last prophet, with the stories of the gospels woven throughout the year to align with holidays and major events in the Christian calendar.

Whether you’re new to Bible reading or have walked with the Lord for years, this plan is meant to be both approachable and enriching—not overwhelming, but deeply formative.
